Car Crashes and Comfort

On Thursday afternoon I was involved in an accident with two other vehicles– a mini van and a transit van, who collided first. My car was thrown 250 feet from the road into a muddy field and first responders carried me through the mud on a stretcher–not how I’d planned to spend my afternoon. Especially after seeing pictures of my poor “silver shark”, I’m thankful for airbags and safety; that my injuries were not more serious and for the comfort that strangers offered, ruining their shoes so they could hold my hands in the rain.

I do not know why the last two years have gone down the way they have, but I’ll tell you this: He protects, He delivers, and He is close by. Be encouraged.

 Psalm 34:18-20

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. The righteous person may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all; he protects all his bones, not one of them will be broken.”
